Educational Events Held; Annual Conference Planned

By Brette Svensson

The GAPNA Georgia Chapter held two business meetings in the final quarter of 2021.

On November 4, Sanofi sponsored an in-person dinner with 12 attendees and a presentation on diabetes management considerations in older adults. A second dinner meeting was held on December 2 with 17 attendees and a presentation on disorders and management of tardive dyskinesia.

Chapter members also contributed supplies for Veterans living in homelessness, an effort coordinated by GAPNA member Dr. James Lawrence. The chapter also hosted a special virtual session with the Georgia Department of Health and Human Services.

Representatives from the Division of Aging Services shared a wealth of resources available to community-dwelling older adults in the state.

The Georgia Chapter is planning to host its annual education conference virtually on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Featured speakers include GAPNA members Dr. Michelle Moccia and Dr. Jennifer Kim.
