The United Health Foundation, in partnership with the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA), is pleased to provide the America’s Health Rankings 2020 Senior Data Update.

As the country faces unprecedented public health challenges with COVID-19, we hope the updated data will assist you in achieving our shared goal of improving population health and addressing health inequities among seniors in our communities.

We invite you to explore the 44 measures included in the 2020 Senior Data Update, along with updated state summaries on the America’s Health Rankings Website. These measures are based on an updated model that reflects the growing understanding of the impact of social determinants on health and the need for cross-sector collaboration from fields such as agriculture, education, housing, justice and transportation, to improve health outcomes and population health.

Along with this year’s data update, America’s Health Rankings has curated measures from across the platform that are identified as COVID-19 risk factors. These measures are available by navigating to the ‘Explore’ section of the America’s Health Rankings website, where users can choose from the library of health topics.

Thank you for your ongoing support of America’s Health Rankings and please reach out with any questions you may have as you review the 2020 Senior Data Update.
