Geriatric Nursing is written for advanced practice nurses and nurse managers who work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, senior centers, or in home care.

View Current and/or Past Issues of Geriatric Nursing

Note: You will need your GAPNA membership number to view/download articles.

When you arrive at the Geriatric Nursing site you will see the current issue's articles "highlights" listed.  In order to view the full article you need to login to the site using your Elsevier login information (not your GAPNA login). If you don't already have an account, you can create one by clicking the register button next to login. If you already have an account, click the "login" button at the top OR click the "abstract, full text, or PDF" button of the article you are interested in viewing. 

After your choice has been made, you will need to:

  • Click the "Claim Access Now" link under the green bar
  • Click the "I receive my subscription through a society membership" link
  • Choose GAPNA from the drop menu
  • Enter your membership number* and last name

(*Your GAPNA membership number can found by logging onto the GAPNA Website and clicking the "update profile info" link, followed by the "membership card" link on the left.)


Submissions for Geriatric Nursing

The GAPNA Pages section in the journal Geriatric Nursing is soliciting submissions. We are looking for short updates or articles including research briefs, project reports, case reports, clinical pearls, policy briefs, and/or literature updates. Submissions should be between 750 and 1500 words.
