Members Participate in Free Dental Clinic
by Evelyn Jones-Talley
The chapter is experiencing growing pains since January 2017 due to turnovers in key leadership roles. However, we are stretching our talents and resources to be viable.
On February 10-12 chapter members helped provide over $1 million worth of free dentistry to our community in the Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee area during the Mid-South Mission of Mercy.
We had an awesome time providing services for this annual, free, 2-day dental clinic for under-served and under-insured people living in Memphis and the surrounding Mid-South area.
On April 18 we held a dinner meeting and clinical discussion on “Health Economic Impact in Wound Care” presented by Danielle Michel and sponsored by Smith & Nephew.
Later in the month, the chapter supported a community health fair by providing summary counseling.
